menuh

One menu. Every language your guests speak.

Write your menu once, in your own language. menuh makes the other language versions, the allergen notes, a QR menu for the table and a page ready to print — and when a price changes, you change it in one place.

Free for one menu in three languages. No card needed.

The problem it solves

Menus get translated badly

A dish name run through a phrase translator turns into nonsense, and nobody on the staff can check six languages. menuh translates for a menu: traditional names stay as guests will hear them, with a short plain explanation when the name alone says nothing. Nothing gets added that is not in your text.

Every price change means a reprint

With a separate file for each language, one new price is six edits and another print run. In menuh prices, allergens and "sold out" live only in your source menu, so every language and the QR menu show the change as soon as you save it.

What you get

A single menu source

Sections, dishes, descriptions and prices, written once in your language. Paste an existing menu and menuh sorts it into sections and dishes for you.

Language versions

English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Chinese and Japanese. Read each one next to the source, and correct any line — your correction is kept.

Allergen notes

Tick the fourteen allergens EU law requires you to declare, per dish. Their names in each language are fixed terms, not machine translations. Get the free printable allergen key in 10 languages.

A printable page

An A4 layout for every language, with an allergen key. Print it, or save it as a PDF from the print dialog.

A QR menu

One code for the table. It opens the menu in the guest's phone language when you have it, with a switch for the others.

Always current

Mark a dish as not available today and it shows as such on every phone. If you change a dish's words, its translations are redone; your own corrections are flagged for you to check instead.

What a guest sees

An example of one dish in English, from a menu written in Portuguese:

Contains: Molluscs

Who it is for

Cafés and restaurants with visitors from other countries at their tables — a terrace in Lisbon, a bistro near a station, a bar in a ski town. If you have ever printed an English menu that made a guest laugh for the wrong reason, menuh is for you.
